BICYCLE

BikemLogo

As stated in the introduction:  Why pay someone to do a job that you can mess up yourself?

It's not my intention to teach you things about the bicycle you can learn better on other web sites. I just want to offer some ideas I've found to be helpful in my own experience. You can try them at your own risk.

AROUND THE HOUSE

Old House

This is the "after shot." I'm afraid to show you what my place looked like before I started work on it. (You'll have to excuse the appearance. I have yet to apply the second finishing coat of paint.)

Most people try to buy a house as far from being a fixer-upper as they can. Not all of us are that fortunate. For those of you like myself that has to make-do with what life offers them, here are some suggestions that might allow your place to be a bit more livable for a few more years.

AROUND THE GROUNDS

Falls

Looking out my back door. Well, not really, but I can dream can't I?

Some of the things I'll be presenting here might better be considered as part of the house rather than the grounds. You might check both sections to see if what you're looking for is available here.

Be forewarned, you're liable to see some strange creations and modifications within this section. If you're into weirdness, you just might have come to the right place.

FOR THE HANDICAPPED
Handicap

Besides my own disabilities I am now, and / or have, experienced, there are others of my acquaintance who are suffering the onslaught of age. Some of the things you'll see here are my own creation, and unlike anything I've been able to find on the web or elsewhere. If you or someone you care about has some form of disability, you just might give this section a shot.

HEALTH & BEAUTY
Sports

Sports I was never that good at, which my team-mates were all too ready to let me know this fact. But there are other forms of recreation that assist in our quest for youth and vitality.

Beauty is something I appreciate, but that I possess by way of very small doses (so small you need not look for them). Most of what I'll be showing you here is how to get the most out of that dwindling buck you've set aside for firming up those muscles, including the heart muscle.

MAKING MUSIC
Mickey

Music is another area in which I have much interest but little ability. But in spite of my lacking a musical ear (or fingers), I find I am able to create some workable, if not peculiar, musical instruments. Now if I were only able to play any of them.

Don't expect to find lessons on how to play an instrument in this section. I don't teach what I don't know (well, maybe a little, but don't tell anybody). I'll be showing you how to make some rustic and primitive (rustic and primitive being the operative words) contraptions that are capable of producing music in the right hands (and maybe in the left hand as well).

FOR THE ANIMALS
Goat

We think of animals as being man's friend, but such is not always the case. For instance, I like squirrels, but there's one (or two) of those fuzzy cuties that insist on making their nest in my storage area, using those things I try to preserve for my coming old age. In other words, pests are included in this charming little section dedicated to man's best friend.

THE ARTS & CRAFTS
Drawing

This is not where you will find art lessons. I have another place for teaching what I know about the art of art. Here I'll be concentrating on the crafty things that no one wants and causes people to wonder why you spend so much of your time on doing nothing of value. They believe you should be spending your valuable time drinking beer in front of the boob-tube watching soap operas and men knocking a little ball around a grassy field.
So for those of you with nothing better to do, settle back and read how you can better waste your time.

FIXING OLD BESSY

Junk Car

I'm almost finished fixing this little baby up. All I need now is a sheet of plywood to lay over the exposed seat springs.
If you own a car or other vehicle that came with a system that causes you to be concerned about locking yourself out of your car, or that makes you nervous when you hear of upcoming solar flares, the chances are there is nothing in this section that will interest you. You'll have to be content to spend your retirement money on mechanics and their spiraling repair charges.

OTHER CATEGORIES
Tinker Toy

What could possibly go in this section that doesn't fit in any of the others? I have no idea, but I'm sure something will turn up along the way. Like the other categories, when something new is added I'll place a new here to alert you. You needn't worry, I'll keep you informed so you can remain as ignorant as I am. (Not too much though, I don't want any competition).
