QUESTIONS

Intro

""Birth of Wisdom"

People look for answers.

They should first look for questions.

Tumbleweed

When I was a tot, I would drive folks to frenzy with questions.

Bless their hearts, they suffered me through it. And, to their credit, they strove to answer all the questions they were able.

Now, they tells that all those questions was unneedful. I suppose to a growed-up mind it would appear's so. But to my way a thinkin', they got 'bout as much as I did from the quarries.

Those questions 'bout trivialities got their minds rethinkin' on things they taked for granite, never studied up on. Then they had to muster up the words what was appropr'at for a tyke could understand. Not an easy chore.

Now that I is growed, the questions I soughts after is more com-plex. I ain't got many answers to speak of. Don't need 'em. Answers is mostly no account nohow cause there's a tassel of them for every question I has. And I'm supposin' that none a them answers fit squarely with any a the questions nohow.

Questions keeps me a'thinkin', smartens my mind, sort'a. They's like a open door what leads to forever.

Answers what's taken for a end what ends all is more a kin to a locked door.

My ad-vise, were I to be quarried for it, which I weren't, would be to be gratified with the question, and not fret to awful much over answers
